Wow. I'm kinda surprised, considering how they were talking up the leadership factor on Hard Knocks.

Connor has clearly outplayed him, but I can't help but think this rattles the locker room a bit.

why would it rattle a locker room? Because they got someone that outplayed the old guy and is a rookie and can be the fullback for the next 10-15 years of he stays healthy?

Or, this may be a case of what Brian Billick called, "loving a guy up" so he won't sign elsewhere.

They may have told him they are cutting him so his salary isn't guaranteed for 2010, then bring him back in Week 2 because they really want him on the roster and feel he's an asset.

The coaching staff was discussing it on HK.

One of the assistants was concerned with how the team would respond to T-Rich getting cut, and it seemed everyone agreed that it wasn't worth the risk.
