To me, and in terms of overall context, the key to this season rests on our next two games. If we do land the #1 seed by demolishing the pitifully stupid faid and we win our first playoff game at home since 1994, this will have been a good season ... maybe even a great one - given the objective circumstances. It may not result in a Lombardi, but it would be a significant accomplishment by any truly reasonable standard. It also bodes well for the future since Mahomes needs playoff experience. He's getting that in his first year in spite of expectations. I view that as a net positive. FAX |

I just think if you're going to want to establish some sort of intellectual domination in your criticism you should use an appropriate literary endeavor: "a patchwork of prognostication past" "a regurgitation of useless people spouting useless information" "a pointless exercise of self-immolation meant to to accomplish a hari-kari so as to avoid the growing dread of "Chiefs Playoff History" I mean come on, stretch yourself a little and use a proper euphemistic phrase worthy of the time wasted for my expense.

When you have a 2nd year QB throw for 5,000 yards and 50+ TD's, you have to take advantage of it. We'd all like to think he's only going to get better, but it's no guarantee he'll ever have a season like this again either. Anything less than a SB appearance will be disappointing, anything less than an AFCCG appearance is a ****ing travesty. |

All those postings show is that the talking heads were hedging their bets.... they figured that both OAK and DEN would be bad. They knew KC had a bad defense that could be worse with an unknown at QB that could light the world on fire.
Chargers had stability at the most important position and despite injuries, still had talent. I don't see any of those projections as going out on a limb, they were all playing it safe. It's what they do.

Thank God he didn't move up and draft Mahomes. He might have 60 TD's in that thin air with solid defense on the other side of the ball. It would be depressing watching him beat us 3 times (twice at home) to start his career. That is what Elway as a player did to us for years. |
