Your Best-Guess Realistic Chiefs Mock

Give me your best guess at what you think the Chiefs will do. Try to take away personal favorites and focus on schematic fit and reach beyond current holes to also consider 2024 holes. Looking for through the 4th round.

I think we spend a 4th and a 6th to move up in bit in the second round.

1st - Dewand Jones RT
2nd - Keeanu Benton DT
3rd - Tyjae Spears RB
4th - Isaiah McGuire DE

Do we want to invest 1st in a RT? We also have Niang, Remmers and prince, right?

Veach has the pressure of protecting Mahomes. Getting a solid tackle on a rookie deal would be wise. I want the sexy WR, but I have feeling it’s OT.

Blake Freeland would be my guess.

Could absolutely see it, Nice. BUT, I reckon they'd get a NT in one of those last 3 picks

Jarrod Clark would work there. Maybe instead of Ahlers.

I might take Andre Carter in round 2. He has an elite 3 cone drill which I believe shows good bend.

I do think we go with an OT, to start at RT with LT upside.

The most important task in all of sports is to keep Patrick Mahomes healthy through his prime. Everything else is secondary to that. And Niang all season, with no real alternative, is a bright red flag.

We gambled last year with Wylie and schemed around OBJ. This year, Veach has the chance to slam the door shut on OL issues (barring injuries). Does it require we use #31? No. But I think Veach probably has a short list of targets for Thursday/Friday, and will pull the trigger if one is in range or available when we select.
