Patrick and Travis really are the best. I'm glad that they chose to play for my team*.

Wait, you mean Mahomes didn't get sued for $1.4M and this was all taken care of in a friendly discussion with a few incentives for the afflicted?

Oh, thank god.

Or, you know, get the **** out of the way when a ball is flying at you on a golf course. What sort of things did these folks think were going to happen at this event?

If Patrick had punched that kid in the face, he'd still be the best.

Huh? Is there more to the story than Mahomes/Kelce noticing a kid got hit and signing stuff? Didn't seem like the kid was outraged in any way.

Not at all. I'm just not sure how one gets hit by a golf ball when there are literally four dudes playing and only ONE hitting at any particular time.

Just gonna guess you stand by the green that the amateur players are trying to hit the ball to.

Maybe staring at his phone or with 100 people around, just couldn't get out of the way fast enough, or maybe given golf balls are really small he just lost sight of it.

Shit happens, he seemed to be fine about it.

It’s easy to lose sight of a golf ball so that’d be my bet.

Once that bad boys gets about 75 yards away from me it’s lost in the blue sky. I won’t see it til it lands with the green backdrop.

Do you blame people who get beaned in the head during baseball games, too?

It appeared that there were people in front of him, so maybe obstructed view? People get hit with baseballs and softballs and bats all the time.

And hot dogs. Don’t forget hot dogs.

Right . It's a small ball traveling really fast and he's in a crowd. Shit happens and literally everybody handled it well.

Patrick didn't even have to sign anything and that kid would have been bragging about the time Patrick Mahomes hit a golf ball at him.

You really have to be bent out of shape to find anything wrong with the interaction here.
