Take a look Skyy. Remigio and this kid are your competition for making the team in July

He'll have hopefully been cut by then, along with MVS and Toney.

MVS 100% will be cut, but Skyy and Toney i think will stay. Toney is $2.5M cap hit if we cut him and Skyy is still cheap as shit.

But there's no mystery that our offense has performed much better with them off the field. The writing is on the wall. Their roles will be heavily reduced and they'll have to fight for a spot on the roster next year.

I'll take the cap hit on Toney if it means getting someone in here that will take his spot and can produce. And I was talking Skyy up big time before the season, but sometimes you just have to admit to what your eyes show you.

I'm not completely giving up on those guys sticking around - they're super cheap as you said. Our issue this year is just that we've tried turning those guys into #1 or #2 WRs, but their actual skillset seems to be more in the #3 or #4 range. If we design the offense around Rice as our #1, draft or use MVS's money to get a #2, and then let those guys settle into the range of ~30% of snaps and 3-4 touches per game, they might still have value.

It's a little like CEH. Don't cut the guy just because he's not good enough to carry the team. You need cheap role players.

Toney is worth holding onto and seeing if the light ever comes on. He has first round talent and has made a few big plays. Skyy can go bag groceries at the local Piggly Wiggly. His value was never in his raw talent, but in his route running and sure hands. If he can't get in synch with the greatest QB who has ever walked this planet, then he has zero value.

I think remigio could be a very real option. I don't think the chiefs will want to get rid of skyy knowing he's cheap. Just being realistic. I do think they find a cheap guy who can do skyys job better and I think(?) That's kind of remigios skill set? The big difference is I think no matter what these guys get relegated to the back of the depth chart into smaller roles, where I expect the chiefs will firm up options at the top of the depth chart

Trying to remember why I know that guys name but then I saw he played at South Carolina.

He's the dude that Cale Garret pile-drove into the core of the earth when they played Mizzou.

Eh - probably nothin'...
