Offensive line is the problem - not Alex Smith
He doesn't do them any favors.

He doesn't pass the ball down field so defense essentially only need to defend 10 yards from the LOS. He also stares down the pass rush and never looks down field for a receiver when the pocket collapses. He also doesn't hit open receivers when the other team blitzes.

If he started hitting the open guys on blitzes teams would stop doing it so often, which, in turn, would make the offensive line better.

8 wins might be incredible.

They might actually be 2012 Chiefs bad. The Bears are in tank mode. That's about the only win that's feasible.

They might get swept by the AFC West.
