There are no gaurentees that it will work anyway. I got one last year and almost ended up in the effin Hospital.
After Christmas I has Intestanal (SP?) Flu, some nasty stuff, so I said to the doc, he I had a flu shot, and she laughed and said that doesn't help fight of this. I'll never do that again |

I've had to flu shots. My personal experience is the years I don't get the shot I get one good case of the flu a year and spend 3-4 days laying in bed trying to get over it. The years I have gotten the flu shot I never had a bad case of it, but every 3-4 weeks I feel like crap for a week. I'm thinking I'd rather opt for the once a year instead of off and on all winter.

I'm particularly baffled by parents who give it to their young children. The vaccine contains mercury.

There is absolutly no reason for 99% of people to get this shot.
And like others have said. It does nto guarantee you will not get the flu. It is made well in advance of the flu season and contains strains that they THINK are going to be active.
