Weather Well it would appear I will endure my first hurricane~

I am going on a short vacation and heading west for a few days. I plan on visiting RCR headquarters and KHI headquarters, and catch the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I will then head to the mountains to take some photographs and just hangout. I plan on returning Friday and had intended to head out to the Atlantic beach and shoot photographs. Well I guess Irene has decided to cut me short. I am close enough to the coast to get hit. The redneck in me is scheming on heading down there anyway just to see it hit the coast~

I don't know what RCR and KHI are, and I didn't know that there was a NASCAR HOF. I mean, I guess there should be one, but it never occurred to me that there would be.

Anyway, enjoy the weather.

Don't you live in Raleigh or Charlotte? You don't need to run for the hills. It's just going be a big storm once it make land fall. Stock up, it's notice you live in OBX or Wilmington or Virginia beach.

I wouldn't roll, but if you stay store plenty if water before the store and ice up a cooler and be ready to grill.

I don't scare easy

plenty of food, ammo and bottled water on hand. Also the area I live in is located on high ground that has never flooded in the towns history~

I am really, REALLY glad I don't live on the beach anymore. Honestly, any time there was even a hint at a tropical storm/hurricane, I started sweating bullets that my place was going to be flooded. I don't miss that feeling.

Yeah that would suck! I am 60 miles in so heavy rain and wind is my only worry. Where I live has never flooded although much of the town did during Floyd~
