Hitting the Quarterback.

I recently got into a discussioin with another football fan about all the penalties for hitting the QB in the head, or leading with the helmet, or following through after he throws.

The way it is now, it is not fair to the defenders rushing the passer. They must rush, rush hard and with vengence just to get there.

The only way to make this thing fair at this point is to just make it two hand touch if the QB is in the pocket, that way they won't be trying to hit him at all.

If I could get your thoughts please, it would be appreciated, DAMMIT!.

I may be in the minority but my belief goes along the lines of: "If you mess with the Bull, you get the horns". In other words, if you play in the NFL, expect to get hit and hit hard. The NFL has become waaaaaaaay too wussified IMO. IMO, if the QB or WR is getting paid NFL salaries, they should expect to get NFL hits delivered on em'.

Believe me, I don't like all the pussy 15 yard penalties they are dishing out this year. My point is, that they might as well make it two hand fuggin touch because you can't tell the bull to play nice and expect him to ever get to the QB.

Do I want 2 hand touch. But if they are going to keep this, brush my helmet with your hand crap, good for a first down regardless if it is 3rd and 40 crap in there, then they can have their pussy league.

Can't we just do away with the 15 yard penalty and modify the rush rule to where the LBs and Safeties have to wait behind the line of scrimmage and yell as loud as they can, " 1 Mississippi ... 2 Mississippi ... 3 Mississippi ..." before they can rush the QB?

As long as the QB cannot cross the line of scrimmage without throwing the ball, that would be cool.

Thats funny.
