Good weed trimmer for under $100?

I'm looking for a decent weed eater/lawn trimmer but I only want to spend $80-$100 max. No corded crap, please. Had a Black and Decker one that I bought from Sears that you had to plug in and it was junk. I have an old (with a lot of miles on it) gas one that was given to me but I can't get it running. It's time for a new one anyways. I would even be open to one with a battery provided I hear good feedback about them. Suggestions?

Edit:

I know there are lots of them out there at Home Depot, Walmart, etc that are in my price range. It's just that I don't know jack about them and needed suggestions from experienced users. Thanks.

I've had a Craftsmen for about 5 years now, with no complaints. Starts up fine after every winter.

The biggest thing I'd probably look for is ease of changing/refilling string. I know they've come a long way over the years.

I had a "Green Machine" for twenty years before it finally was worn out. I replaced it three years ago with a Ryobi, nice machine. Here is a site that may be helpful to you:http://www.consumerdemocracy.com/phe...aspx?catId=148

My Ryobi is going on 8 yers now. It works really well. No cords, and no gas to mess with, however it only works well on grass. It's not powerful enough to chop down the monster weeds.

I'm not too worried about monster weeds. Who do you think I am? Bob Dole?

Have you used this? How does it work? Easy start? How about the string? Does it come out pretty easily?

No, I have not used. Bolens makes decent tractors, a friend of mine has had one for several yrs so that is why I posted, plus it was under $100. Sorry, cannot give you an opinion on this one.
