Sorry, couldn’t settle for just two and took three.
In other words, all the starting line backer positions.

The starting middle linebacker position is far and away the marquee story for me this year.

In second place, I have to go with safety depth. I figure that Knight and Wesley will be the starters, leaving Woods, Harts, Connot, Bartee, and others to fight for the last one or two spots. Should be interesting.

After those, I think the nickel back fight and the right tackle battle should be very interesting. Left linebacker, too, but more just to watch DJ than any true competition.

I'm pretty sure Parker will get Morton's starting position barring injury. What will be interesting is how the backups line up, especially with the signing of Az Hakim. Also interesting will be to see if DV puts the best players on the field at LB or if he simply wants to hand the job to an underachieving veteran again.

i don't see much of a battle at right tackle...

jordan black is worlds better than any other candidate (svitek will take a year or two to develop/learn offensive line play, but he's defiitely a sleeper)...

safety will indeed be interesting... there's a few guys with real potential and the backups haven't been too awful (compared to the starters at least)...

nickle back should go to mccleon, unless one of the young guys suddenly catches on, or learns how to play under today's no-contact rules(i'm thinking battle here)...

can't wait to see dj in live action... *licking lips in anticipation*

I went with LB's depth and safety depth.

Basically I think the 3 LB's are going to be Bell, Mitchell and DJ. As much as I dislike Mitchell and wish to see some other in there, I think DV's loyalty will prevail. We can only hope it doesn't and it is decided by TC and preseason games performances.

I feel the safety depth as well, Knight, Wood, and Wesley will battle it out as who starts. It has been mentioned that Knight is a lock to start, I can't say that much, I feel it's open. They moved Bartee back which crowds an already safety position with Harts, Pile, and Connot. That's 7 safeties for 4 spots....

I would tend to agree, which is why it didn't make my top two. However, I'm not sure if Welbourne or Bober or someone will get another shot to compete there.

It'd be cool if Black continues playing well. I like seeing young up-and-coming offensive linemen.

Starting MLB and free safety. I would have chosen receiver, but improved defensive play is the only thing that will take this team to the next level.

Starting MLB, the biggest hole to fill on the entire team, and CB3 edges WR2, since I'm much more concerned with Dexter McCleon than Sammie Parker.

I did choose receiver, as well as MLB.

You are absolutely right, improved defensive play is the only thing that will take this team to the next level.
But we are almost absolutely assured that the defensive play will be improved, and, while I would really like Woods to give Wesley the battle of his life to earn the position, I just think that Wesley is almost a lock to win that battle.

On the other hand, while the offense is one of the best already, improved WR play will make this offense a real juggernaut.

Like most, I am thinking about the D.
I chose the MLB and DT starter options.

There hasn't been much buzz lately about our #1 pick. I am eager to see him out there.

The WR depth battle is interesting...but WRs are kinda the 3rd option in our O.
