Here is a great site for Greek recipies. This site was crated by the station manager at the first AFRTS radio station I ever worked at. He married a greek, and still lives in Athens..

Greek recipies

I whipped up some Tzadziki and have my cubed pork marinating for some authentic souvlakia this evening...

All I need now is some REAL Amstel beer (not the light crap you get in the US) to wash it down...

Amstel? What you really need to wash down that souvlaki is some Mythos. God knows how many of these I kicked back on my trip to Athens last summer.

The devil is in the details, I've never been able to get my Tzadziki to turn out like I had in greece, but I noted that norm's receipie had the step of draining the yogurt for 24 hours. that made all the difference in the world, almost 1 cup of liquid drained off, and now I have that great thick tzadziki that I love!

For those of you in Atlanta that like greek food, this is the best place I've found, lot of fufu on the menu, but the greek originals are always great:

That must be new, there was no such thing when I lived in athens from 89-91. It was Amstel or Heinekin. The amstel was just beautiful in 20oz bottles ice cold!
