Law & Surtain: The Best CB Tandem in the League?

(Since it's all but "official". http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/15106482.htm )

Law & Surtain: The Best CB Tandem in the League?

That would have definitely been true 2-3 years ago.

Is it still true?

I don't know. If they are both healthy, and have "gas left in the tank" then I think they could be...

Even if they are healthy, and ready to play though, I'm not sure they will live up to their billing, UNLESS Sims and the DTs pick it up with more pressure from the inside. AND they get help from our safeties.

Otherwise they could become the two most overpaid "older" CBs in the league.

Here's hoping that Sims and Wesley (along with Edwards, Junior, and Pollard--not to mention Hali) can make a difference.

They COULD be .......... alot depends on the defensive scheme and coaching.

i just pray that the new secondary coach and Edwards can hold Gunther's hand enough to help him not screw it up.

Two years older. With a lack of pressure from out DTs, and inconsistent Safety play....especially in coverage? Maybe not.

I wonder if they can do it by themselves at this stage in their careers.

No, Champ Bailey and X corner on the other side are always the best!

I'd say that going into the season.....a Law & Surtain CB tandem should be considered the best in football....

but by midseason.....bailey & d-will will be considered the best....

ok lets map this out....

Tamba
Sims
Browning
Allen
Bell
Mitchel
Johnson
Law
Wesley
Knight
Surtain

They just need to be in the to 15 D's in the league and the Offense should take care of the rest.

Just a hunch....but I think Edwards or Dalton will edge out Browning.

Law takes over the one spot. Surtain moves to the 2 and covers the same receiver he covered last year from the one spot== the two receiver.

Hopefully there's some interest and some money left for Dwight Smith, because as great as Law and Surtain may be, I'm not looking forward to seeing Wesley or Knight try to keep everything in front of them.
