"Jerry Seeman, the league's senior director of officiating, told FOXSports.com that any pose an individual strikes - regardless of whether its directed at the opposing player or bench - will be considered taunting and result in a 15-yard penalty and fine."

So is Gonzo dunking the ball over the goalpost crossbar considered a "pose?"

Hey, we think alike, however, I used the wrong name, I thought it was T Rich. that dunked.

The real test of this will be when one of the NFL darlings perform a celebration.

I'll be watching closely for a mile high salute and anticipating a flag. (like the league would ever pick on the broncs)

And let's not blame the No Fun League for expanding their constipated judgements. They're under the same magnifying glass as the entertainment industry - i.e. to protect "the children" from bad influences. Let's hope that the complete elimination of big play celebration gets a name attached to it. Like the Owens rule. Give credit where it's due to, yet again, one cretin's act of stupidity forcing management's hand to enforce more suffocating rules.

I think that after scoring a touchdown, a team should be given 15 seconds to perform any sort of dance, routine, pose, taunt or mockery they choose...but only for 15 seconds. It could involve an individual or the entire team if they so desired.

End of problem.

Anyone that allows their children to watch one of the most violent games on Earth, then cries about a "throat-slash" gesture should have their head examined.

Clint-
I'll go you one better on the 15 second rule. In addition to touchdown and PAT scoring, the celebrants are awarded style points. "The score is 12.7 to 15.4 - if these guys score, they'd better pop something big in the Rockettes department". As the cameras switch to the offensive line rehearsing a dancing elephant routine. If we have to endure a smarmy comedian calling plays, let's get into some real entertainment!

So will lifting hands in the air to indicate a touchdown be called too?

I think this has gone a little TOO far.
