Tonight at 7:30, almost one week to the minute from when it went out, we have regained full power.

Special thanks to the City Utilities workers who worked to get it fixed.

a bit under 110 in your lingo bowser. beaches are packed but no one will swim, the water's freezing aparantly.

Australia has tourism marketing??? But their electricity goes out when it gets hot. They better be damn good marketers.

they must be. our tourism revenue per capita is more than 2.5 times that of the USA.

That said i'm impressed you're familiar with the concept of tourism at all. Not that there's anything wrong with climbing walls and smoking reefer for 30 years.

A buddy of mine endured the long flight to Australia only to report there was NOTHING to do or see. If you've seen one kangaroo road kill you've seen them all. Crocodile Dundee was pretty good though.
