Royals Bats Come Alive!

From today's game:

Royals at the plate: Alex Gordon drove in four runs on a bases-loaded triple and an RBI double, and Jason LaRue added a homer as Kansas City won its fourth consecutive game. With the bases loaded and one out in the fourth, Gordon fell behind 0-2 before working the count full. Mariners right-hander Jorge Campillo then tried a fastball and Gordon lined it into the gap in right-center to score Reggie Sanders, Emil Brown and Ryan Shealy and erase a 2-0 Seattle lead. LaRue then hit the next pitch over the left-field fence for his third homer in eight games. Billy Butler added a towering three-run shot in the seventh

alex is the real deal. Anyone who has seen him in person can attest to that. You could sling a golfball softball style at him and he could hit it back through the box for a base knock

I know Gordon isn't going anywhere when camp breaks. But Butler should make the 40 man roster just on his bat alone. Man, it'll be nice to have some guys able to hit HR's. It's pathetic that the season record for HR's is still held by Mayberry at 35.

You may be right. It could be Balboni but I know it's only 35 though.

I saw Gordon hit a monster home run here in Springfield last year. It was one of those you just stood their in awe at. Deep center field, perfect home run. Probally went 430 at least.
