Surprised there is not more concearn regarding Herm

Let me preface my post by saying I am jets fan and I think we are going to struggle mightily this year (I am not pounding my chest or anything).

But given how knowledgable KC fans are, I am surprised there isn't more concern about Herm running your team. I know pre-season is only preseas-n but let me tell you that your lax effort the other night is an clear sign of things to come w/ Herm. Your team will seem unprepared and make stupid mistakes and it will be frustrating to the fans. That being said, thhe gets his players ready to play in big games. But for the most part, you will be frustrated. The sooner Herm leaves KC the better b/c he is absolutely awful at developing young talent

First of all, KC fans are idiots. Second, you're just a bitter Jets fan and Herm is the best coach ever at developing young talent compared to the last guy we had. At least he gives them a chance. BTW is Chad hurt AGAIN?

Call it a weakness, but I tend to give a guy a chance (to fail or succeed) before I either throw him under the bus or carry him on my shoulders.

Because history, good or bad, while interesting and at times even enlightening, is not a guarantee of future results.

There's plenty of concern around here. This wouldn't be Chiefsplanet if people weren't constantly whining about something.

That being said, spare us. We've heard this all before. You're about the twelfth Jets fan to drop in here and offer us your pity...

Let me guess. You blame Herm for last year's embarrassment?

Pennington is not injured. Actualy is quite a stir up here in NY b/c the Daily News speculated on saturday that he was b/c he took a bad hit. ESPN decided to report he was hurt but meanwhile he is totally fine. Unbelievable how the media is unreliable these days. Even if he is not hurt, his arm is not what it was and it wasn't great to begin with. He can manage a game but he doesn't have the arm strength back this year. Hopefully he will get it back at some point.

Herm won't get all teary-eyed over how good Dexter McCleon looked in practice last week. That said, he can't help but be an improvement.

We had a lot of the same issues under DV as well, so we are a bit used to it. We are not going to take a first preseason game with no game plan too seriously, well most of us well not.

I put the opening day disaster entirely on Herm. That was as unprepared as a team that I have ever seen except for a 3-game strtech in September 2002 where we were outscored 110-13.

Oh fuck me, the offense has been Herminated. We threw short passes in a preseason game (yeah, like we've never done that before...in like every one the last 5 years). We're conservative, I tell you. Conservative.

(And yes, we may be conservative in the end, but, christ, it's one preseason game and it looked just like every one Saunders ever did...)

I don't know about unprepared. Outclassed was more of what it looked like. (No offense or anything, just sayin').
