This has been a great game. Refs are letting them play very physically.
Memphis has been making their outside shots and busting the Hoyas zone. Rose has been great as usual. Go Tigers!

I hate saying it, but it looks like Memphis is legit.
Good to see them with a better non-con. |

Cal made some great adjustments to the Gtown zone at half.
The free throw shooting by both sides has been atrocious.

Amazing performance in the last thirty minutes of the game. Dozier, Dorsey, Rose, Buckets, and Anderson were just phenomenal, and even Niles showed why he'd be great if he could lose some damn weight during that 12-minute stretch sans Dorsey in the first half.
I think Taggart getting foul #3 was a blessing in disguise. He was getting worked. Quote:

Memphis is just fun as hell to watch, I'd like if more teams played like that.

Or, to crib a line from Fred Smoot: "Water covers 70% of the earth. The Memphis defense covers the other 30%."

I was just complimenting how your OOC has been alot more tough this year. If you think your past couple of OOC's have been tough you're pretty crazy. I cannot believe you're actually counting Cincy as a tough OOC opponent, and Providence? Oklahoma? I get the others though. I also never said your OOC was terrible. You dominated today. It's safe to say you guys are legit, cause time and time again you guys have been considered over-rated due to your conference. |

Playing in the Preseason NIT against Alabama, UCLA, and Duke wasn't tough? Playing at Gonzaga, Arizona, and Tennessee last year wasn't tough? We had a top-5 non-conference SOS last year. As for Cincy, they've been down, but they're still a rival. They're always up for us. Quote:

That was fun to watch as a Memphis fan. Glad to see CDR out of his funk. When he plays reasonably well, this team is National Title material. When his offense is struggling, the team offense struggles. Regardless, their defense is dominant, and doesn't get nearly enough credit. The Dorsey/Dozier combo is the best big man defensive duo in the country.

Not the Memphis, game but a HORRIBLE call in the Tenn/Xavier game.
Bruce Pearl got a technical for stepping one foot across the coach's box line in a close game with 4 minutes. |

Lol @ any thoughts of Memphis being not "legit." Callipari has a heck of a program down there, as evidenced by recent years.
C-USA isn't even a very good excuse to doubt Memphis; it hasn't been too long since Louisville was a member of that conference, too. |
