The Wii I purchased the kids for Christmas locked up at the main menu screen. I was prepared to have to jump through a ton of hoops. The hardest part of the process was finding the 1-800 number on their website and once I did it only took me about 10 minutes to secure a FedEx return authorization. Thank God I actually went through the online product registration. It will take 11-14 days but it's better than having to pay for the repair.

I sent my Wii in to clean the lens and it was pretty smooth.
