You'd think a professional coach would spot something like this and correct it.

I've noticed that several college teams, when in shotgun formation, snap the ball as soon as the center's head goes down.

Yeah but most teams have the center duck his head 3 or 4 times and vary it snap to snap so teams can't tee off on it. We actually do, too. So we're not completely dumb. But dumb enough...
