Actually I would love that Super Bowl.
And as far as the "I can't believe we have to call one of these teams champions" well, one of those teams will have the ring. No one can take that away. If both teams make it, they would have deserved it.

It would probably be the best possible game, from a viewing standpoint.
Lots of points, probably close. |

I don't particularly care to see mediocre teams in the Superbowl; but you can't say that it wouldn't be memorable.

Bolts and Cards are the best because they play in the toughest divisions in football.

...because it is important that our champions get a pass even though they can't beat an 8-8 team.

They should just hand out the trophy before the season starts, honestly. We all know who the best teams are.

To me, the super bowl is less of a statement about what team is the best in the NFL during the entire season as it is a statement about what team is best at the END of the season. You have to meet some minimum requirements of non suckage to get there, but in the end, the 16-0 Pats lost to the 10-6 Giants. Since that's the case, I don't have any issue with an 8-8 team in the SB. They won against some very good teams to get there, so at the end of the season, they deserve to be there.

Wouldn't the game itself make it (un)memorable and not the teams records?
