Chiefs More Romeo Crennel Speculation

Duno what 'internet report' this is referring too...but just some Saturday morning reading.

• An Internet report linked former Browns coach Romeo Crennel with a consultant’s job in Kansas City under new general manager Scott Pioli, but Mangini remained hopeful Crennel would wind up in Cleveland.
“When I talked to Romeo the other day, he had just come out of his (hip replacement) surgery, so we weren’t really talking business at all,” Mangini said. “I’ve never put pressure on him one way or the other to make a decision. I would love to have him be with us, but if he makes a different decision, then I would support that, too.”

Interesting that part of the delay isn't merely the surgery, but also competition between the Browns and the Chiefs. I don't see how it's remotely possible for him to stay in Cleveland though.

Mangini and Crennel are tight. I think we're waiting on a decision from Crennel whether he's joining us, the Browns, or sitting out a year.
