I knew nothing about Sebastian, but while watching the Shrine game, I thought Vollmer was the best offensive lineman in the game. I know the Shrine game is for late round picks, but he dominated against Defensive Ends, Lawrence Sidbury, Richmond and Orion Martin, Virginia Tech. Again Sebastian Vollmer is worth looking at in later rounds. Of course doctors would have to examine the back and determine the risk.

No Sebastian Vollmer was not at the combine but the guy that he shutdown in the Shrine game was, Lawrence Sidbury. The 6'2" 266 lb DE Sidbury finished 10th with defensive linemen in vertical with 35 in. 1st in the 40 with 4.64. 4th in Broad Jump with 10'0". 11th in 20 yard shuttle with 4.43.
The 6'7" 314 lb Sebastian Vollmer had no problems with a speed rusher like Lawrence Sidbury in the East-West Shrine game. The announcers during that game said that Vollmer had done very well during practice too. I guess I'm always looking for the player the Chiefs could get with a late round draft pick that might help the team. |

Sebastian gets a positive mention by Todd McShay...
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft...3fid%3d3909621 Problem with this, he is no longer a sleeper and might even move up to the 4th round. |
