Real quick question, thanks to anyone that can help.

I want to scroll far, far to the right without ever losing the A column. How do I keep the A column ever present, as I scroll to the right?

Freeze your panes.

Yeah click on B and then click on window and freeze pane.

If you have Excel 2007, you just have to go to the view tab, and click on the button that says freeze frames, and there's a "freeze the 1st column" option.

In older versions, you'll want to go to the Window tab and first click on split. Drag the vertical bar that appears over until it's between columns A and B. Then double click on the horizontal bar to remove it. Finally, go back into the Window menu option, and click on freeze frames.

I don't like freezing panes because then you can't easily adjust them. A better way is to manually split the screen, because you can just click and drag to do it. You click on these little thingies and then just drag them to wherever you want the split. (Note that you can't freeze panes and manually split the screen simultaneously. If you freeze panes, the little drag bars will disappear, so unfreeze any panes before attempting this at home.)

I like this method because I can then scroll in both windows and change the size in both windows very easily. If you freeze panes, you can only scroll in one of the two windows.

exactly split is a much better approach.
