VARSITY
He just needs to sit in front of a juggs machine for about, 2 hours. Per day. For the rest of training camp. With someone hitting him with a large pad just as he is about to catch the ball. On the run. In mock pressure situations.

If he does that, then maybe he'll learn to catch and be a surprise signee. He's still way better than Webb though, so good value pick up.

He probably has 5+ 40 yard catches against the Chargers,

That being said, I'd take any of the other 4 over Lelie.

Edit: I might take Lelie over Davis, for some reason I thought it was Andre Johnson.

Yeah, but he only averaged 4.37 yards per target last year. The best receivers are over 8 yards per target. Another measure of his effectiveness is that the Raiders averaged 6.43 yards per attempt. So they were better off throwing to other targets instead of Ms. Ashley.

There are some interesting similarities between his pre-KC stats and Eddie Kennison's pre-KC stats. [Ex. They both only had one season approximating 1000 yds.)

Also, they were both speed demons that bounced around with several other teams. And of course, they both flamed out under Sh@nnyRat. (For different reasons.) If Lelie can come close to replicating EK's career in KC, then to opposing DBs I say: "We're gonna put something on their ass. You can believe that!"

I was surprised by this stat to say the least. I hope he is hungry enough to come in here and make a difference. There is no question we need help at WR.

Not sure anyone is claiming greatness. Just pointing out that there is potential, despite what bitter donk fans may say.

P.S.: Tom Brady averages 23 yards per catch. Split him wide, Belichick!
