NBA vs. NHL in KC.......this argument again
Yesterday the hornets and the heat had an exhibition game at the sprint center. It drew 17000 people and even bowe, dorsey, and lj(I have no idea how he got in, I picture him running into the side of the entrance and falling down and never actually geeting through) went. The nhl game on the other hand drew a terrible crowd and nobody worth knowing showed.

So again, how can anybody still say that hockey would be better in this town when basketball almost had double the attendance hockey had at its exhibition game?

The NHL has its diehard fans, but the NBA is alot more popular than the NHL right now.

So what do you think would be the best for KC??

So 17,000 showed up knowing it would be their only chance to see a live NBA game in KC.

What happens when they have 41 chances a year to see a live game?

17,000 and about 8,000 of those were comps. I feel sorry for the suckers that actually paid to get in.

I'm sure Beasley, Chamlers, and Julian Wright playing helped attendance. I would be fine with either one, both sports are outstanding live and in person. I think NHL is our better shot with the Islanders, NBA teams are pretty stable outside of maybe Kings (ironic I know).
