One bobbled onside kick .....
One bobbled onside kick completely transformed the Denver Broncos.
If Dwayne Bowe controls that kick and eliminates SD from the 08 playoffs ..... Mike Shanahan is still Denver Coach. Great coach and i think he can possibly be great again, but his approach in Denver was very stale and everyone including himself was too comfortable. His training camps were very soft and labeled "The Dove Valley country club" and probably attributed to his recent teams fading late almost every year. I think most could see another run of mediocre 7-9 to 10-6 (at best) seasons ahead with a complacent Shanahan in place. Bob Slowick is still the DC and there is no chance of a worst to first Defensive turnaround. A jump to the low teens would have been applauded by Bronco fans, but it wouldn't have happened No Mike Nolan Hire. Jay Cutler would still be on the team, whether that would be good or bad .... i don't know. No Dawkins, Andra Davis, Buckhalter, or any of the other personnel that McDaniels has bought in. Robert Ayers would be off the team as that pick would still belong to Chicago. Knowshon Moreno wouldn't be a Bronco as Denver would have been slotted where SD ended up and Shanny never took RB's in the 1st round. The list could go on and on ...... it amazes me how much can change on one bobbled ball. I guess Denver fans owe Dwayne Bowe a big thank you. |
