Chiefs should attempt to make a trade for Joshua Cribbs

I do that trade if I were them to seal the deal for special teams.

I think this team lacks a "good" returner. Bobby Wade isn't the answer nor is Bobby Engram, or Maurice Leggett.

I think Colquitt and Succop are studs, and great weapons for this team.I just think adding a guy like Joshua Cribbs completes the final piece for special teams.

I have to say even despite the fact the Chiefs are a terrible team, the special teams looks like it's heading in the right direction. So that is a good start for a team that is in a rebuilding process. Hoffman is a good special teams coach, Succop's kickoffs have been outstanding, and compliments the coverage units out there.

Colquitts hang time has been impressive and also compliments the coverage units as well. get that returner and this special teams unit will be super.

While I agree that Wade is not the answer, I don't think Cribbs is some magic solution to our return game.

Without blocking, he'll do marginally better, if any than what we have.

I'd rather have the pick to fix one of the 40+ holes on this roster.

I think in general it's not a good idea to trade stuff for guys who only return kicks. Their success tends to be short lived.

The reason I say they should make this move, is that returners are tough to find imo. I don't think they're a dime a dozen. It's a tough position to address and I just feel he is one of the better returners in the game.

I think if the Chiefs can address the return game, I think it increases their chances of winning the battle of field position when it comes to games.

And a little thing like that is REALLY important. especially for a team that lacks talent on both sides of the ball. it's a good start for a team that is rebuilding. Win the battle of field position increases your chances of putting points on the board and preventing the opposition from putting points on the board. Good special teams compliments both your offense and defense.

As far as im concerned, we have kickers that have the ability to pin the ball deep in the opponents end. It seems to me now we have a kicker that can kick FG's. Can you imagine if you add a good returner to that? Nothing to get hard over, but something to get warmed up about for sure.

I don't think the blocking has been bad at all on returns. I think the returners have zero vision to actually make a read.

Cribbs would go along way to helping this offense out.

Cribbs isn't a bad receiver either. He could definitely fit the bill as a 4th receiver, and return both kicks and punts. Cribbs would also be a great addition to the offense for gadget plays, and to stretch a D with his speed on occasion.

That's the very defintion of a role player. something every team could use that's for sure.

It certainly wouldn't hurt. If the chiefs could make the deal happen for a 5th we should have it done yesterday. I think anything more than a 5th is probably too much though.

25 career catches for 192 yards and 1 TD in 5 years says otherwise.

He's a return man, period, and might as well be carrying a huge neon sign over his head that reads "TRICK PLAY COMING" every time he steps on the field on offense.
