Bathroom reading material
I want to start stocking my bathroom with plenty of good literature to read while on the can. I've never done this before. My folks weren't bathroom readers, so it never caught on. But I've decided it's time to start. Think of the hours I've wasted just sitting on the toilet over the years.

My wife is against any reading material on the main floor bathroom or in our bathroom adjacent to the master bedroom. So that leaves one location: Bathroom next to the office.

I just want to gauge what the bathroom readers on here do. Is it strictly your favorite magazine? Or is it a novel? Do you recommend putting work/business literature in there or keep it strictly to leisure?

And by the way, I'm against bringing the laptop into the bathroom. Too many ways it can get soiled. I'd rather keep it safe.

When I was a kid my Mom could never figure out why I always had to take long poops in my Uncles bathroom instead of my Aunts. She finally figured it out when they were redoing my Aunts bathroom and she saw the stacks of Hustler, Penthouse and Club Magazines under the Sink.

I like to read in the bathtub, too, and occasionally the shower. (I'll listen to audiobooks in the shower as well).

i have a subscription to Time, Cycle World and Motorcyclist

plenty of good readin' there.
I'd suggest finding a periodical etc, as opposed to a book. I'm usually getting a new magazine once per week (at least with Time etc).

Books work as long as they have manageable breaks.

Reading Gene Wolfe right now, and he's perfect. Short chapters.
