Lunar eclipse Saturday morning

Lunar eclipse tomorrow morning.

Better views depending on where you're at. Moon sets at my place around 7:49am so I won't see the total eclipse. In fact I'm wondering what it will look like since the sun will have been up almost an hour. Might be a red ball setting in the west in the morning. Total eclipse should be able to be viewed on the west coast.

Might be something to check out with your morning coffee and you have a view to the west.

am I reading that right; that midwest/central timezone might have a partial view of it?

The moon will set in the midwest before it gets to a total eclipse. But it should be far enough along to change to a pretty decent red.

(that's my take, don't come bitching at me if you make a point to wake up earlier than normal on a saturday and i'm wrong)

Dang.

Whenever this happens, I worry that the moon is being eaten by a giant sky lizard and will never return again ever.

Been thinking of that. Moon has been very bright the last few nights. Little wind. Perfect.

There's no way we can see a lunar eclipse unless the Chiefs use a first round draft pick on a franchise QB.

That would be especially concerning this time where you could not be sure the lizard had not eaten it until the moon rises again tonight (if it does!).
