What Does Matt Cassel Do That's Good?
Trying to install some objectivity into Chiefsplanet but i'm sure this will turn into a bash Cassel thread.

4 seasons as a starting QB 2 were pretty solid years. He's a better QB than Palko, Thigpen, Croyle etc. So what is it that he does good?

Umm.....serious question, right?

Okay, just let me think a bit. I guess he's good at taking hits? Since he's usually always getting killed back there, a lot of it being his fault. Hell, guess not even that's "good". Oh well, all I got.

Seems like he has everything he needs to be a great QB except talent. Sadly, that's kind of a deal breaker. For everybody but Pioli.

The truth is, when he sets his feet and gets the ball out with no pressure, he can be a very accurate passer in the short to intermediate game.

This is why Josh McDaniels increased the number of plays from the shotgun when he had to work with Cassel.

True - I remember being surprised every so often when he would step into a throw. He hasn't got a rocket arm, but when he has a bunch of time and space, he can still throw the ball with some zip.
