Never forget those who we lost on 9-11 and we will always honor those who served in the name of justice.

Shoutouts to those brave firefighters, policemen, and everyone else who went into those burning buildings to save people. Also our troops you all are badasses thank you for your service.

It was a sad day for sure. I heard a great interview with Leo Mazzone, former Braves pitching coach, this morning. The Braves played the Mets in that first game after the towers fell and he was talking about how emotional it was. That's the game Piazza hit the big game winning home run and the place went crazy and people were crying etc. It was very symbolic. He said the ump missed a solid strike three right before the home run and he and Bobby Cox just looked at each other and were like, "we can't argue that tonight." He said it never felt so good to lose.....

I'm sorry, Phil. That had to be awful beyond words.

My story isn't as awful but none the less illustrates your point of different things to different people. Four years ago today I had to euthanize the greatest soul ever to grace the earth, my 16 year old cat Bandy. He appeared to save the day when I was deep in a postpartum depression. I had never had a cat and didn't like them (due to my mother's indoctrination) and he basically changed that. I will never be without one. He bravely fought from advanced heart and kidney failure for two years when he was given a very small window of time to live. Up until the end he was terrorizing small animals and bringing them home for me as a gift. I miss him.
