Whew...
Shaq Thompson? First round? For the Chiefs? Man...on a team that featured Danny Shelton and Hauoli Kikaha? In a 34? I think you are hoping for Ryan Shazier...I don't know if Thompson is that guy. I'd rather go Cody Prewitt vs. a guy like Thompson who doesn't really have experience at the position. And I too think that Vince Mayle is a ****ing beast. I think he's better than WV's Kevin White right now. I also think that he might be there in the third. Personally, I think that they will have a really good opportunity to snag a pretty solid WR in the third - Dres Anderson, Vince Mayle, Tyler Lockett, Ty Montgomery all would be monumental upgrades and all would fit well in this system in different ways. |

Berry played a role incredibly similar to a 4-3 OLB in 2013. playing in the box, playing man on TEs and backs, covering the flats, blitzing. I think shaq could be even better than berry in that role. I think shaqs just as athletic as shazier. Shazier might have a little more top end speed, buts that's it. In terms of agility, stopping, starting I think Thompson has the edge. Shaq can transition from a backpeddle to a driving forward as well as an elite corner prospect. I think his short area quickness is on par with shazier as well, his closing speed is insane. I think he'll develop some serious man coverage skills due to his agility and drive. As far as Prewitt goes, I just don't see what you see in the guy. But I do agree with you on wrs in the third. There will almost certainly be a solid guy there for the taking. |

Two Shaqs in one draft. Sound like the ol' Tank and Turk debacle.
I hope they cut Parker as well. He played like dogshit. |

Dorsey is building a young team so signing 31 year old Doug Free doesn't make sense. I can't envision the Chiefs signing McClain, either. I think Franklin will get more money as a tackle than a guard.
Walker is young and doesn't cost much. He played less than expected in 2014 due to the emergence of Bailey and Howard but he was a decent rotational player and likely more reliable than Vickerson. |

Maybe I'm hanging on to blind hope, but with Hali's desire to remain a Chief, regardless of money, makes me think he sticks around.

I agree with Walker being a very nice rotational player. I just think we have another solid rotational guy in catapano, and walkers making a hefty chunk of change. I think that money would be much better spent on a end TE or ILB. also agree Parker was a solid safety. |

Also, I think the Chiefs will address TE and ILB in the draft. |

Shaq Thompson seems like he's uncomfortable at ILB. Like he doesn't quite have a feel for it yet. Project player IMO.
I think that Bryan Bulaga will be a guy we make a run for. Idk why. Call it a gut feeling.

I could see them making a run at Bulaga and the guard from Cincy. If they can sign one or both, they'll have lots of options in the draft.

The sample size from cat isnt very large, but he's done an excellent job in his limited snaps. he looked great in the chargers game. In 2013 he racked up a sack, two hits, and 9 hurries in 77 pass rushes, the hgihest disruption rate of any of our interior lineman. He was a capable rotational guy as a rookie, and that likely hasn't changed. Walkers set to make 4+m next year, i think it'd be much better to use that money on an ILB. |

And i'd love to have Bulaga, i thought about picking him up instead of Free, but i have no idea how much he's going to cost. I could see us picking him up, might cost a pretty penny though. |
