The Saints got caught again...
...by greasing the pole!

"...The NFL has reportedly learned that several members of the New Orleans Saints have participated in a practice which was referred to within the organization as "Greasing the Poles." Furthermore, the league discovered upon initial inquiry that involvement in this questionable practice goes beyond just the locker room; as several support personnel have also been named as being complicit in this modification of equipment."

I have no idea what greasing the uprights would accomplish. Also I find it somewhat disingenuous that a Patriots news site would point it out.

Guys this is a spoof article. The tradition of "greasing the poles" is a Mardi Gras thing. They grease the polls that support the balconies in the French Quarter so that people don't try and climb up. Some Saints players participate(?) in the tradition by holding the ladders for the girls who grease the poles.
