Chiefs sign 6

Issiah Battle, OL
Battle is a 24-year-old offensive lineman from Clemson who originally entered the NFL through the Supplemental Draft. The Rams took a chance in the fifth round of the supplemental draft on Battle, but gave up on his development after two seasons.

Khaseem Greene, LB
Greene entered the league as the fourth round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2013. Greene has garnered interest from the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers since then before he piqued the Chiefs interest. The team first watched him work out when Derrick Johnson first got injured, and while the team didn’t sign him then to help replace him on the roster, they liked the Rutgers linebacker enough to bring him back for a spot to compete in camp this summer.

Montori Hughes, DL
Hughes is a nose tackle from the Tennessee-Martin who was the Colts fifth round pick in 2013, the same year that Greene was drafted. Hughes failed to stick in Indy, a surprise given their own need for defensive linemen, but who knows if the Chiefs line coaches can bring something out of the 350 lb. prospect.

Josh James, OT
James comes from the football behemoth known as Carroll College. James is a small-school prospect, but his 6’5″, 315 lb. frame earned an undrafted free agent contract from the Green Bay Packers. He failed to stick on the Packers’ roster, but the Chiefs grabbed him earlier this offseason.

Will Ratelle, FB
Will Ratelle is a thick running back who is making the transition from defense to offense after a nice collegiate career at the University of North Dakota. Ratelle originally came into the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons, but was let go with an injury settlement after hurting his ankle. This is likely the longest shot on the roster, but the Chiefs have to like his raw potential to add him to the mix.

Julian Wilson, DB
Wilson is a prototype corner from Oklahoma in terms of size and speed, but beyond that, Wilson is a total project who went undrafted despite playing in a great conference. He ran a 4.48 at his Pro Day and has enough length at 6’2″, 205 lbs. That said, those two aspects are about all that scouts have ever praised about Wilson.

Any other team and GM I say, so what. With Dorsey, I expect one of these to pan out.

Who's the last early March trash heap signing who actually did something in a game for the Chiefs? Joe McKnight?

Dorsey is great at dumpster diving, but these types of signings at this point in the offseason is not when that gets done

There was a time Isiah Battle was a highly thought of prospect.

Huge upside.

I agree with your sentiment, but reading that was like using a decoder ring.
