We're down to our ten finalists now, so this round will have only two heats.

Same rules as before. I'll put the nominees up in random clumps of five, and you'll pick the TWO musical acts that you would most like, or least hate, to see on the world's biggest stage as the Chiefs face some NFC team next year.

The rules are more or less non-existent. Lobby for anyone you like, post videos for us, and make any arguments against totally insipid groups and rappers. Convince us one way or the other.

1. Paul McCartney. This as an easy choice, because he's the only performer on this list that I would enjoy. This is a terrible heat.

2. Garth Brooks. (Sigh.) Okay. Whatever. Let him do it. I'm fine with it. Really. I'm fine. Just move on.

Non-winners

3. Metallica. It was close between them and Garth Brooks. I could have gone either way.

4. Lynyrd Skynyrd. I keep saying this, but the modern group isn't really Lynyrd Skynyrd. It's a scam.

5. Smashing Pumpkins. They fall below my chip n dip line. If they were on, I'd just go make a snack.

I would have gone with Metallica and Lynyrd Skynyrd, but Rain Man has swayed me with his argument that Lynyrd Skynyrd isn't the real Lynyrd Skynyrd, so give me Metallica and Garth Brooks. But I do think that maybe the show should include a Metallica fronted by Garth Brooks version of Sweet Home Alabama.
