Mock Draft Proposition

Okay, so maybe it doesn't happen this year, but I wanted to entertain a thought and maybe we do it next year...

We get 32 people together on a Saturday online in chat. Each person gets 1 team. Trades are allowed. Owners can offer a trade, must be within 10% of the trade value chart. Future picks valued at 2/3 of the current year's slot. Round time limits would be: rounds 1 and 2 are 3 minutes per selection, 3, 4, and 5 at 2 minutes per selection; 6 and 7 at 1 minute per selection. At max time, this draft would take about 8.25 hrs. I'd say it'll probably be closer to 6.5 hrs. Let's say, start the thing at 10 AM and be done for dinner.

Would there be enough interest to get 32 guys to dedicate 1 Saturday to doing this?

If the interest isn't here, it isn't here. But people do this shit for fantasy football so there's that.

The current drug out format of the mock is far worse in my opinion.

Not sure you can allow trading, because what's the incentive to take a future pick from someone when it is literally nothing, unless you try and remember all the trades and carry them forward to the next year, but that would also need the exact same people...

Realism. It's not a build a team project. Basically, allowing for what could happen, such as Buffalo moving up for a QB in this year's draft or maybe KC coming up out of the 2nd for a CB, etc. The time limits wouldn't permit people to get fancy with that shit, and pretty well eliminates it after the 1st/2nd round. It probably won't happen anyway, CP mock has been going on for a decade and can't get more than 16 owners? I thought maybe if it was an all in one shot deal, there'd be more interest than the marathon session of the regular mock.
