This time, it’s Utah Senator Mike Lee @senmikelee who believes that your public lands are simply playgrounds for rich elites just like the king’s land was in England. And he plans to introduce three different bills aimed at transferring away or selling your lands, including a new “Homestead Act.” How many times do we have to tell lawmakers that our public lands are not for sale?

I cut my teeth as a hunter on public lands and nearly three-quarters of western hunters depend on public lands for some or all of their access. We aren’t rich elites–we are everyday Americans. I encourage you to take action on this issue by signing the petition in support of your public lands at sportsmensaccess.org. I did
