Kyle Van Noy released
Miami is releasing Kyle Van Noy. Anyway we could afford him or would we even want him? We could use an upgrade at LB and I would say that he'd probably be our best LB until Gay proves that he's the best. He just signed with Miami last March and was a team captain.

Weird they are letting him go.

There's just no point to signing a premium LB talent unless it's a rookie who needs development.

The Chiefs only have two LB spots they play regularly, and those are likely to be Hitchens' and Gay's. Bringing in a third premier player only makes sense if Gay isn't developing as you like.

I think we should consider bringing in a top-round rookie and giving them the Gay treatment. But it doesn't make any sense to bring in a premier LB.

It wouldn't be a totally bad idea.

I'm not fond of taking a LB at the end of the first round but if a guy like Collins is there, they have to consider it. He could sub for a year and be the main guy next.
