True cost of refs' mistake on N'Keal Harry catch was not 4 points

Instead of scoring 6 points with an opportunity for an extra point kick or a two-point conversion, Patriots had a 1st and Goal from the 3, which is worth at least 4 expected points. Sure, the Chiefs stout defense held the Patriots to just a FG, but it is not correct, in my opinion, to say that call was worth 4 points. More like 3 points.
Here's a link to a page from 2016 that discusses expected points and has graphics that show the leaguewide and the Patriot's expected points for first downs from various field positions. Even though these are old, it is clear that if you are on the opponent's 3 with 1st and goal to go, your average points to get on the drive is higher than 4. https://www.patspulpit.com/2016/8/9/...riots-1st-down

Sick of this whining about missed calls.

The refs gifted the Pats calls in the first half too. BS pass interference penalty taking away a Pats punt. Blatant roughing the passer with flag picked up. BS holding call on kelce. Calls that Romo couldn't defend.

I do get that the refs helped us a bit at the end. But given how much the Patriots get helped by refs... I don't give a shit. And the officiating wasn't one sided. They gifted the Pats tons of calls too and didn't capitalize.

Right. And mahomes push out of bounds. Which is called most of the time and 11 times out of 10 if that was Brady.

Did the better team win? Absolutely without a shadow of a freaking doubt, and it shouldn't have been that close.

Go back to your cupcake schedule now. See you in the playoffs where we will win AGAIN.

The Patriots are mentally weak and can’t handle adversity. If you’re bitching about getting first and goal from the 3 because it’s too hard to gain 3 yards against the Chiefs defense, then you’re a mental midget bitch ass pussy.

Yep and the "There is no roughing penalty as the defenders body weight landed to the side of the quarterback". Then the replay shows him clearly landing 100% full body weight on Mahomes.

If Kelce didn't have one of the dumber plays I've seen in recent memory we probably blow those fools out. Huge 3rd down and he gets it by 2 yards. All he has to do is run forward and go down when tackled but instead he runs backwards 3 yards into a sea of defenders and fumbles. Pissed me off more than Chris Conleys fumble in Pittsburgh last season.

What about the non call for the block in the back that got Harry to the outside. Also the Kelce fumble would not have been a TD. Hill was in his face and two other Chiefs are close enough to stop him. Pat's fans are entitled babies.

This is classic Boston:

It's the world against us! We're Boston Strong! Terrorists hate us! America hates us! The NFL hates us!

It's their victim narrative that goes way back and it's delightful to heave a wrecking ball at it. I can only hope we'll get another shot in the playoffs.

nah, it was 4 points.

They scored a TD. It was taken off the board. They had to kick a FG. That's 4 points.

Yeah, yeah, stat this and stat that.

They scored a six. EP makes 7. Instead, they got 3. 4 points.

Now ask me if I feel sorry for those mother****ers.

LOL
