How do you guys handle robocall?
I receive a lot from healthcare, police, women cancer unit, firefighter, etc calls. Three or four times a day. How do you stop those?

My phone says it's spam so I don't answer. I only answer calls that are in my rolodex. The rest can go to VM if it's important.

Sometimes I answer and go take a splashy piss.

Spending the week with my mom, she gets inundated by them and answers them all. And is very polite to them all.

Yeah..but then they leave a voicemail.

I guess you can just take voicemail completely off your phone, but sometimes I need it.

My phone sends every unknown caller to voicemail and then I just delete them from my voicemail. Verizon has this "Block Caller" feature but you have to purchase it and it doesn't actually work. My mom bought for my sister way back when she had a crazy ex and they tried blocking him on everything through that, and it didn't work. This was back in 2013 or so, so maybe they've fixed that bullshit

Yeah, my phone is pretty good about labeling spam these days so I ignore them other than hating them for the five seconds that I lose picking up the phone and looking at it. I've had a couple of real calls get labeled as spam, and they've left voice mails, but that only makes me hate the spammers more.

I've had a few times where they've gotten through and said, "stay on the line to a customer service scammer", so I've done so and then asked the person why they chose to be a criminal. They then hang up quickly, but I feel like I make the world a better place by lowering their morale.
