A Question about NFL Playoff payouts

Does anyone know how much players make per playoff game? Is it the same as a usual game check or is there some formula that calculates that?

For players like Devonte Adams (Raiders WR) who got super paid but miss the playoffs, how much money would they miss out on for missing the playoffs.

For players like Cheetah, if the dolphins miss the playoffs vs how many playoff games he would have been paid for in KC what is that dollar figure look like

Note: I don't care about Reek here I just wondered how much money would be involved here with post season games, bonuses, and rings etc

I think it's really nominal, and every player gets the same amount. So for a guy like Tyreek, it's not even anything he would notice.

Before the big money contracts started appearing in the 1970s, the payouts were notable and were an incentive to players. Now the big stars probably just throw the check in a drawer and forget they have it until a maid finds it.

It's probably still notable money for the bottom half of the roster, though.

Crazy the playoffs don't pay out

NFL should change that to see a jump in competitiveness

This page mentions some stuff
https://www.kansascity.com/sports/sp...257570228.html

Said Mathieu's regular season game checks were about 808,333.33 and even if the Chiefs win the superbowl Mathieus total post season pay would be less than 40% of one of his gamechecks

40% would be about 323,333.332. so less than a million for 4 possible games.

I guess I always figured the post season would pay out much more

No wonder Honey Badger played like a chump last playoff run. Business decisions.

For some reason I thought I read that it was $25,000/game. Maybe that was an old article. This one is from this season.

Maybe the extra tv money is given during the season.

The NFL makes a SHITLOAD off of playoff games.

The players in a playoff game should get a lot more than that.

Meh, obviously he made some business decisions last season. But he also lost a step, maybe as much as a step and a half. Just a little frustrating that Justin Reid isn't outperforming HB to this point. Hoping he's been improving, and I just haven't paid enough attention, but that we'll see him bump up his performance in the playoffs.

That's where I care. Ball out in the playoffs. The rest is just preseason buildup.

Concur. Early season stats/splash plays are for also-ran teams/fans. Couldn't care less how many of "X" type plays are made in weeks 1-6 or whatever. Making plays in the playoffs are where it matters for the Chiefs, or BUF, CIN, or "insert playoff-bound team here".

That's where I expect guys like Justin/Carlos/JJSS/whoever to hit another level. Otherwise, they were a big waste of money.
