Any pool players on the planet? I just started back up with APA after a 21 year break. If you play what equipment do you rock. I have a 2000 Viking that I play with. I’m thinking about getting a carbon fiber.

used to be an avid pool player myself, but would drink too much while playing. Played in leagues and it was fun. It's been a hell of a long time I don't even remember what stick I would use but I had my own and I liked it. I think I was a 5 in some rating scale and we had teams, the only 7 in the league was on my team but got kicked off because he would get violent when drunk.

What are you ranked? Are you playing 8 Ball, or 9 Ball?

I just sold a great Pechauer break cue with the Black Ice shaft and a Bulletproof tip.

I just sold a custom Eddie Cohen Cue.

I have played with Predator and with Jacoby as well.

Used to play golf with Allen Hopkins back in NJ in the 80's. There was a pool table in the clubhouse and he would hustle guys all the time.

Would he hustle, like pretend to be bad, or did he just gamble and win?

Because most pro players would never "hustle" but they would gamble with other real players.

Just watched a competition between Minnesota Fats and Willie Mosconi on YT, from back in '78. Howard Cosell announced - really entertaining to watch. Part of a Wide World of Sports episode.

He would put quarters on the table to play and guys thought they could beat him. He played for small money so not to arose suspicion. Like $10-20 back then. He would throw a game here and there to draw in the suckers

I picked up a vintage Cue Tec carbon cue at an Estate sale.

Really looking forward to shooting it.

Had my fist two piece cue @10.

Never played serious. Back in college I played quite a bit. 7 story dorm with 30 rooms per floor and a couple of good tables in the lobby. Always someone around to play.

I gave up billiards after it took my friend and I over 4 hours to finish a snooker game. Come to think of it we didn't finish. It was 2 am and the pool hall was closing.

Been playing pool for 40+ years. Didn't play competitively, like league/tournaments until I was 19-20 though. Just play in a BCA league now for the last 6-7 years.

I've played with nearly a dozen different brands of sticks; some favorites have been Pechaur, Joss, Viking, Predator, McDs, and Meucci. I always come back to Meucci though. Just feels right. My all-time favorite cue was a Meucci DH-1, and a Meucci HP-3. Played some really good pool with those two sticks.

I've played with CF shafts, and they are pretty nice in certain respects, but I'm not sure they do much for beginner-average players. If you understand the mechanics/physics of the game, CFs are pretty helpful, imo.

Before Fargo, I was rated as high as a 9, but mostly I was considered a strong 7 to average 8. I never played more than a minimum of safeties and took too many chances, which hurt my overall rating.

I was still kind of playing somewhat competitively when Fargo became a thing, and I was rated a 485. Guessing that would be about a weak-mid 7.
