(For the purposes of this discussion, I'm going to assume that the Chiefs are 99% out on DeAndre Hopkins.)

So: you want this team to be Super Bowl competitive in 2023.

Odell Beckham, Jr., aside from being a Zava-level egomaniacal psycho, is a slam dunk #1 WR who is giving this team more than any other WR on the roster, and far more than any other WR you can draft this season.

The question:

For the Chiefs to be Super Bowl competitive, how important is it that they land Beckham.

He hasn’t played a full season since 2019, is coming off surgery, and is north of 30. Regardless of what he looked like in his workout… I think it’s a massive assumption to think he gives any team significant impact.

For less than $5 million and as a 3rd or 4th option? Sure. For the supposed $10 million plus and to be counted on as a WR1 or WR2? No thanks.
