Computers Tomato or DDWRT?

Ok, I just bought a Linksys WRT54GL router and I have read that you should install one of these firmwares. Any CP router experts on here know anything about this? Would you recommend one over the other? Basically, I will be running one desktop PC wired to the router, one laptop (and sometimes a 2nd laptop) wirelessly, another desktop PC that will be wireless, and an Xbox 360 that connects via a Dlink DWL G820 wireless adapter.

Okay, so you run ddwrt. Have you tried or heard/read anything about Tomato? Is there a reason that you prefer ddwrt? From what I am reading, it looks like Tomato might be the better option for me.

Tomato = charts and graphs. Visual stuff.
DDWRT = total command of the router.

I am also wondering about those though. Is it worth it to buy a router that's compatible with either one rather than a newly released one?

never heard of Tomato. I installed DDWRT to improve uptime as the Linksys firmware was buggy. Beyond that, I ignore my router.

Hmmm, tomato is kind of weird. It will take some getting used to. Needs some help menus for people who aren't router gurus.
