My mock.

Got nothing to do -- tell me what you think.

This idea is starting from square one to build from the future. The first pick is at QB.

From there, I am 99% defense oriented, with only a pause in the 6th for the Rehring the road-grader.

By the way, I totally took the liberty of assuming we traded LJ and Tony G for two thirds.

1. QB Matt Stafford, Georgia -- Brodie's leash just tightened up.

2. DE Brian Orakpo, Texas -- Quick pass-rushing specialist this team is starving for.

3. OLB Anthony Heygood, Purdue -- Gotta love Purdue's athletic, fast linebackers. This guy's a natural, sky's the limit.

3. RB Jorvorskie Lane -- We're going to need a big RB.

3. WR Derrick Williams, Penn State -- Finally, a deep threat?

4. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- Natural leader with great stats.

5. DT Myron Pryor, Kentucky -- Great athleticism, totally raw.

6. OG Steve Rehring, Ohio State -- Massive run-blocker for RG.

7. OLB Kevin Atkins, Boston College -- Speedy and undersized, he'd get playing time immediately.

I was reading that and thought you must be projecting Taylor and Richardson to actually get to play.

Guess I was right.

I can't wait till we get these going again. They're way more fun than watching our team this year.

Here's another. Chiefs trade LJ for a 2nd, and Tony G for a 3rd.

1. QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma -- If we can land Bradford, we must.

2. DE Maurice Evans, Penn State -- Potential double-digit sack guy. We need a sack specialist...

2. WR Carlton Mitchell, USF -- I'm enamored with his size/speed combo. Very productive.

3. DE Matt Shaughnessy, Wisconsin -- ...or two. Shaughnessy is a blue collar, high-character guy.

3. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- Raw project from small school with every physical tool needed.

4. DT Evander Hood, Missouri -- Penetrating tackle, and obligatory hometown pick.

5. OLB Brian Toal, Boston College -- One of the fastest OLBs in the Draft, with a great nose for the ball.

6. OG Steve Rehring, Ohio State -- Massive run-blocker, could challenge immediately for RG.

7. OG Trevor Canfield, Cincinnati -- Talented mid-rounder who will slip because of an assault charge.

Another one, again with LJ for a 2nd and Tony G for a 3rd. Working with the assumption we have a top 5.

1. OT Michael Oher, Ole Miss -- Move Albert to either RG, LG, or RT. Herb Taylor comes in at RT.

2. C Alex Mack, California -- The best center prospect in years falls to the 2nd. Hello, dominant OL.

2. OLB Sean Weatherspoon, Missouri -- Please come out, Sean. We'd love him on the weak side.

3. DE Matt Shaughnessy, Wisconsin -- Lots of pure pass rushers in the midrounds this year. For some reason I've focused on Shaughnessy.

3. WR Derrick Williams, Penn State -- A pure deep threat. Could immediately compete for the slot.

4. QB Tom Brandstater, Fresno State -- Tall, strong QB with great decision-making abilities. Hey, he's got upside and it's a weak class.

5. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- It's the size of the dog in the fight.

6. K Jose Martinez, UTEP -- Fantastic leg, very accurate beyond 40.

7. CB Cary Harris, USC -- An overlooked talent in USC's defense, he's a perfect fit for our defense and adds depth behind Carr & Flowers.

I'm going to critique you just a bit......

If you are of the belief we have the #1 pick then I'm fully expecting that has to be Stafford....

Now if you think Maurice Evans is coming out then the only player I wouldn't take him over if he was still there is Brandon Spikes.

Derrick Williams is a really solid pick, though I don't think if he's a deep threat, but he does catch everything and is a great blocker.

Mack falling to the 2nd? Really? Cause I thought he would go pretty damn high.

Interior line prospect usually get downgraded for well being interior line prospects. You have to be such highly thought of to even have talk of breaking the first round as a C or G.

I've seen some debate on whether Alex Mack is the best center in this draft there are several guys so I may wait till the 3rd or 4th on center and get a better guy in the 2nd at another position.

Makes sense.

I'm still a Bradford > everybody else, but I doubt Bradford comes out.

I'm basically operating with the assumption that we are 3-13, with around the third pick in the Draft.

I've seen no debate that Mack is the best center. I'm seen Cal play a game and a half at this point and as of now I'm high on him.

I typically grade C as being a "middle value" position, so I wouldn't normally make a play for one this early, but at this point he looks almost as good as Albert did in 2007. If today was the Draft, and he falls, I'd pull the trigger.

Another one, this one DL focused.

Traded Tony G for a 3rd and a 7th. We held onto LJ.

1. DE Michael Johnson, Georgia Tech -- An elite passrusher. Put him over RDE and put Hali back over.

2. DT Terrance Taylor, Michigan -- A nimble, yet powerful player to add to our DT rotation. Great for the Cover 2.

3. QB Todd Boeckman, Ohio State -- Huge body that can take punishment and make the smart throws. Not unshakable, but promising.

3. DE Larry English, Northern Illinois -- Will need a couple years to groom, but English is a physically gifted sack machine.

4. MLB Daniel Holtzclaw, Eastern Michigan -- If he doesn't outperform his abilities at the combine, he'd be a great value pick here.

5. WR Tiquan Underwood, Rutgers -- Haven't seen him play but once, but his forty and his stats hint at an effective deep threat.

6. OG Steve Rehring, Ohio State -- I think he'll fly up Draft charts, but this massive guy right now would be a steal in the 6th.

7. OLB Rashad Bobino, Texas -- A talented MLB who will have to be moved outside in the NFL. The ability is there, but he's a project.

7. WR David Richmond, San Jose State -- Tall, fairly productive WR from Herm's favorite school.
