Paging the resident CP Satellite TV Install Expert
I think Mr. Skip Towne is the resident Satellite TV installer guru….
I’m moving from a house to an apartment; I’ll be on the ground floor of an apartment building that faces approximately NE, but I think Direct TV needs a SW Line of Sight? The apartment requires a free-standing dish support thing (which is fine). The apartment is Uverse ready, as well as Time Warner (pass), and DTV ready. I don’t want to leave DTV if I don’t have to. The lady on the phone said they ‘very rarely cannot achieve Line of Sight’. Is this true? I’m just wondering how LOS is achieved from a ground floor on the opposite side of a 3 story building. I really want to keep DTV (and I’m sure BuckinKaeding does as well ![]() |
