KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club has named Kirsten Krug Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. Krug previously served as the team’s Director of Human Resources.
“We are excited to promote Kirsten to vice president and a member of our executive leadership team,” said club President Mark Donovan. “She is a true professional and asset to our entire organization.”
Krug enters her third season with the Chiefs in 2012. As the VP of Human Resources and Administration, Krug will be responsible for overseeing all facets of human resources for the club, including benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, compensation analysis and special projects.
Krug was appointed by the mayor of Lawrence, Kan., to serve on the Lawrence Human Rights Commission for two consecutive terms. Her role with the commission includes overseeing the human rights code for Douglas County.
Prior to joining the Chiefs, Krug worked as Director of Human Resources and Training for Amarr Garage Doors, one the nation’s largest manufacturers of residential and commercial garage doors. She held the role for over 13 years, overseeing all aspects of human resources and training for a 600-plus employee base.
Prior to her stint at Amarr, Krug served as the Vice President of Business Development at the KU Credit Union and as a Quality Control Supervisor at Kemper Financial Services. The Lawrence, Kan., native was a letterwinner in tennis at the University of Kansas. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Communications with an emphasis in Rhetoric. Krug and her husband, Robin, have two daughters, Ainsley and Payton.

I still think we should have waited to pick up a V.P of Human Resources & Administration in this year's draft. It's a deep pool of talent in this year's Draft...
