East/West Shrine game features interesting prospects for KC
Darren Waller WR/TE Georgia Tech
@MockingTheDraft: Going through Shrine Game measurements. GaTech WR Darren Waller is officially 6'6 5/8, 242 pounds. Scary. Expected to run in the 4.5 range. Projected like a Devin Funchess hybrid. GT always has a physical freak every so often (Megatron/DT). Would be a very nice fit in rd 4. Easily has the frame to put on another 10-15 lbs. Wes Saxton TE South Alabama Another good TE prospect. Has good speed at 4.7 and has the frame to get bigger. He's a very willing blocker who puts the effort in. This would be a great mid round pick IMO. @JoshNorris: Move TE Wes Saxton: 6'3 7/8. 243 lbs. 9" hands. 32" arms. (Via @OptimumScouting) He was also a baller as a receiver. Nobody (Jake Ryan included) could cover him. @Steveospeak: TE Wes Saxton is a match-up nightmare there wasn't a LB who could cover him well in this group in 1-on-1's. Xavier Williams DT Northern Iowa @JaredStanger: DT Xavier Williams came in at 6'2"/325 with very good 33 4/8" arm length. This young man is a homegrown talent. Grandview high school here in KC. He's got the size, length and solid quickness. Check this out: 11.5 sacks the last 2 seasons and he set a record for blocked kicks in a season with FIVE. This guy looks like this years Brandon Williams. |
