Reading the Tea Leaves

Just wanted to throw a few things out there about this Kelce restructure. Depending on who you talk to about "why" you get a myriad of answers. I don't believe for a minute 3.5 M is to cover practice squad call ups.....BUT I propose a few other pieces of information:

1. Rojo is on this roster still and has exactly 0 snaps this regular season. *I think* we can save about (roughly) $750K by releasing him (cap gurus tell me). That bumps up the cap space and opens a roster spot.

2. I can't see Andy/Veach keeping "dead weight" on the active roster when we have immediate needs elsewhere (DE/DT, OT, CB, WR (Justin Watson has absolutely disappeared).

3. Have we ever carried 4 RB's (technically 5!) an entire season?

4. There are quite a few attractive FA's/Trade bait at positions of need to name a few below:

WR - OBJ - FA
WR - Brandin Cooks - Texans
WR - DJ Moore - Panthers
DT - Larry Ogunjobi - Steelers
DT - Ndamukong Suh - FA
DE - Tarell Basham - Cowboys
DE - Marquis Haynes - Panthers
DE - Bryan Burns - Panthers
DE - Robert Quinn - Bears

CB - William Jackson - Commanders

5. Obviously some are more realistic than others and some are just not worth it. Notably missing are any (good) tackles that are/may be available. Too many injuries or poor performers at that position across the league - I feel like we will have to scheme around one of our (few) weaknesses on offense.

6. Even if we don't make any moves I like this team with all of our starters back. I don't think people appreciate GAY enough. He really makes this "D"efense more potent. I think when we have all of our starters (Wharton was a significant loss for the season) we will be fine. We have been blessed with a GEM in 7th round rookie Jaylen Watson. Trent McDuffie has yet to show us what he is really made of and I think we will see that this week. McDuffie, Watson, Sneed and Fenton are a potent group with Reid and Thornhill on the backside.

7. Please can we give Pacheco the ball more!?!?!?!
